There are some groups and clients that you never want to let go of when you are a training provider. Polyoak Packaging is one such client that is very close to Dionysus’ heart. The organisation has a national network spanning 13 manufacturing and distribution centers in Southern Africa.
Polyoak Packaging was established in 1976 by a family of owners, who are very passionate about employee development – so much so that the founder, Mr Louw, established the Polyoak Business School in Cape Town, with branches in other centres such as Gauteng and Durban. The Business School, managed by Valencia Ellse, has a reputation for producing quality training for the Polyoak employees. They embark on technical training and apprenticeships, which are presented by their own internal subject matter experts.
As an accredited institution, Polyoak ensures that they have a constant supply of quality facilitators, assessors and moderators to perform their registered competency based training throughout the country. In order to assist with this function, it has been Dionysus privilege since the Business School’s inception, to capacitate the Polyoak Assessors, Facilitators and Moderators nationally.
Last week a dedicated group of Polyoak assessors gathered in Durban (where everyone agreed it was warmer!) to undergo Assessor training through Dionysus.
I rate them one of my favourite “Bunch of Dudes”.
